When we learn proven techniques of repeatedly shifting our attention back to the present, we can connect with the joyful moments of our daily lives and meet the challenges that arise with greater perspective and wisdom. We can then experience relief from physical and emotional suffering and transform our relationship with ourselves and others.
Laurence Magro is a Westchester, NY licensed psychotherapist specializing in mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs). As one of only a handful of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) certified professionals in the state of New York, she has helped hundreds of clients to recognize and transform maladaptive habits and patterns of thought to lead more balanced, joyful and healthy lives. As founder and director of Mindful Living NY, Laurence offers group classes and one-on-one instruction in the areas of mindfulness meditation training, stress reduction, pain management and mindful eating.
